Chrissy Teigen has got to be my favorite person on the planet. Her tweets alone have me in stitches. Not to mention, she’s gorgeous, smart, and a wonderful mother and wife. So, when I heard she came out with a makeup palette, I knew I had to have it. You can purchase this palette here at Ulta or here at Lord and Taylor. If you purchase from Ulta, you will receive a free Becca Deluxe Highlighter in Opal! Who doesn’t love free makeup?

First of all, the packaging is beautiful and I love the “becca” design in one of the highlighters.

To create the look below, I took the bronze shade and applied the color to the indents of my cheekbones. Then, I applied the blush shade right on top of the bronzer. Lastly, I took both of the highlighters and applied them above the blush.

Verdict: I definitely like this palette a lot. The colors went on smooth and stayed on really well. My only complaint was the intensity of the blush, so next time I use this palette, I probably will just skip that. Luckily, I can still say I love everything about Chrissy Teigen. Keep slayin’ girl.

What do you think of this look? Are you a huge fan of Chrissy’s like I am?

Before you get the wrong idea, I’m talkin’ nude color makeup! I recently purchased a nude color lipstick and wanted to try to create a nude eye to go with it. Nude shades are perfect for when you don’t want to look like you’re wearing a lot of makeup.

I purchased the MAC lipstick in shade Honey Love and it’s 10% off here. I’m not typically a lipstick wearer but this one isn’t drying at all and lasts a really long time.

I created the following eye look with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette. I cannot say enough good things about this palette. All the shades are super pigmented and it contains an equal number of shiny and matte shadows.

To create this look I used raw sienna as the transition shade, golden ochre in the crease and outer v, and primavera for the lid color. I also lined the lash line with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and Benefit They’re Real Mascara.

So, what do you think? Will you dare to go nude?

As most of you know, Sephora recently had their bi-annual 15% off sale for VIBs (aka those who spend their rent money at Sephora.) I can never let this sale pass me by since makeup hardly ever goes on sale. I purchased a couple of palettes from Anastasia Beverly Hills and a makeup brush set.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – this palette is one of the best
eye palettes I have ever laid eyes on.  I can see myself using all of these colors instead of just a couple, like many other palettes. I used a youtube video to create this look and I think it came out pretty well!

2. The second Anastasia Beverly Hills palette I purchased was the Glow Kit in Sun Dipped and oh my, is this palette gorgeous!! It’s $40 for four different shades (two bronze colors and two highlighters) which breaks down to only $10 a shade! I have no other words to say about this palette except I kind of feel like a Kardashian with this glow!

3. Lastly, the brushes were just OK. This set came with a foundation brush, powder brush and I’m honestly not sure what the other is for. I can see myself using the foundation brush and maybe the powder brush. However, I should have purchased an eye brush set instead.

Every couple of months Sephora offers 15% off for VIBs (that’s what they call us folks who spend way too much money at Sephora!) I always take advantage of this sale because makeup is one of the things that just doesn’t go on sale often. If you’re a VIB, use code VIBSPRING to save 15% off your entire order. If you’re a Beauty Insider (those folks who spend a little less than VIBs,) use code BISPRING to save 10% off your entire order. I’ve put together a list of what’s in my wishlist for this sale.

Each morning I use just about the same 7 products to create my everday makeup look. To some, I know 7 producs may be a lot but I truly feel naked if I don’t have them all on.

Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Foundation. This is my go-to foundation! I wear this in shade 2.15. I have tried just about every foundation on the planet and truly believe that this one is the best. It’s longlasting and doesn’t melt off. Seriously, a godsend.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil. Just like the name suggests, this pencil is goof proof! This pencil makes it super easy to shape and fill in your eyebrows.

Benefit Watts Up Highlighter. This is a great highlighter that adds a touch of light to the upper cheekbones but doesn’t look overly shiny.

Kat Von D Liquid Eyeliner. This eyeliner goes on smooth and is easy to make a wing.

Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. I blend this on over my foundation to give it a matte look and keep it lasting even longer. I also use this to “bake.” Check out my post on this if you don’t know what that is.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer. This bronzer is the perfect shade. I’ve often found many bronzers to be way too dark but this one is lighter and looks more natural.

Urban Decay Naked Palette. I use this almost everyday in the smoky palette. The colors are so versatile and can be used to create either a daytime look or a much darker smoky eye for nightime. I love that it comes with a dual ended brush as well!

Here’s an obligatory look at the final product:
