There are currently deals going on everywhere! Thus, leading us to another installment of “What’s In My Cart Wednesday!”

This post contains affiliate links. For more information, please read my disclosure for more info.

First off, J. Crew Factory has 50% off most items! Boy, are there some cute ones in there! Here’s what I’ve got currently in my cart and I guarantee they won’t just be in my cart for much longer 🙂
My Nordstrom cart is currently stocked with a pair of jeans that include the word “butter” in them…I mean, how can those not be glorious?

Macy’s is also having their friends and family sale which includes 30% off all departments except beauty (which is 10% off) with code “friends.” I’ve got some good stuff in this cart as well!

Last but not least, Lucky Brand is offering 40% off already reduced sale prices! These are the shoes currently in my cart.

Clearly, I need to go back and click the dreaded “remove from cart” button because sadly, I’m not made of money. Happy shopping 🙂

Hi everyone! Here’s my first installment of weekend wanderings where I’ll give you an inside look at what I did the past weekend as well as the outfit I did it in!

On Saturday, I had the best brunch of my life. Most places don’t offer brunch on Saturdays so I was elated to find one that actually does. Not only does this place have the best food but they offer a “bucket of bubbles.” For $30, you get a bottle of champagne, orange juice, and grapefruit juice. Considering other places charge about $10 for one mimosa, this was a phenomenal deal! If you live in the Boston area, I highly recommend checking out Lincoln in South Boston.

After brunch, my boyfriend and I got drinks at a place on the water in Quincy, Massachusetts. This place is attached to a Marina and perfect view for boat watching. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and dare I say, the sangria was even better?

As you can see, Saturday’s theme was booze but Sunday’s was a little different. I had made an appointment with a Psychic Medium several months ago and chickened out on going at least four times. It’s something I’ve never done before but am fascinated about the whole idea. So, yesterday I decided it was time to overcome my fear and go see the “Beantown Medium.” When I walked in, the smell of insense was overpowering but soothing at the same time. Light music was also playing in the background during the entire reading. The Medium was nothing short of fantastic and made me feel so comfortable. I won’t give you too many details but I believe now more than ever that those who have left us are still with us in spirit. She knew things that there was just no other way of her knowing without spirit intervention. If you are a skeptic on these things (trust me, I still am somewhat,) I highly recommend making an appointment. Not only do I believe I was able to connect with those who have passed, I have less fear and anxiety about death. It was definitely an experience I will never forget!

On a lighter note, here’s what I wore!

As most of you know, Sephora recently had their bi-annual 15% off sale for VIBs (aka those who spend their rent money at Sephora.) I can never let this sale pass me by since makeup hardly ever goes on sale. I purchased a couple of palettes from Anastasia Beverly Hills and a makeup brush set.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – this palette is one of the best
eye palettes I have ever laid eyes on.  I can see myself using all of these colors instead of just a couple, like many other palettes. I used a youtube video to create this look and I think it came out pretty well!

2. The second Anastasia Beverly Hills palette I purchased was the Glow Kit in Sun Dipped and oh my, is this palette gorgeous!! It’s $40 for four different shades (two bronze colors and two highlighters) which breaks down to only $10 a shade! I have no other words to say about this palette except I kind of feel like a Kardashian with this glow!

3. Lastly, the brushes were just OK. This set came with a foundation brush, powder brush and I’m honestly not sure what the other is for. I can see myself using the foundation brush and maybe the powder brush. However, I should have purchased an eye brush set instead.

Op, op, op, op, oppa Gingham Stylye!  Gingham is definited as “lightweight plain-woven cotton cloth, typically checked in white and a bold color.” To me, the first thing that comes to mind is Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

BUT, here’s a couple bloggers that are really pulling off this trend quite nicely!

Check out Valley of The Shoes rockin’ the Gingham top with white pants and fashion sneakers.

Or how about Walk In Wonderland rockin’ the gingham with some distressed jeans, black clutch, and aviator sunglasses? Slay, girl, slay!

Celebrities have been sporting this trend for years. As a huge fan of Sex and the City, I love everything Sarah Jessica Parker wears. Here she is wearing her gingham and she looks “absofuckinlutely” fabulous!

Vanessa Hudgens also pulled off the gingham and this charming dress.

So, what do you think? I’m not sure I could pull this off quite as flawlessly as these ladies. Can you?

There you have it! Anyone else have any other gift ideas?
