Create Your Own Stitch Fix (on a budget using SF brands) (2).png

With summer now in full swing, it was time to create a couple “fixes” for July. Like usual, I created a casual outfit and a work outfit using all Stitch Fix brands. If you missed my latest “create your own fix” post, you can check it out here. Also, if you aren’t sure what Stitch Fix is or haven’t tried them yet, you can check out my latest review here. I challenged myself again to only include Stitch Fix brands but at lower prices. If you are familiar with Stitch Fix, you know that each fix contains 5 items and a note. Now, let’s get on to the clothes, shall we?

For this first “fix” I focused on a nautical/striped theme. To me, nothing says summer like stripes! Pair the Tart striped top with the Liverpool shorts and white Seavees and you’ve got yourself a super casual summery look. The Kensie dress will also pair well with the white Seavees for that comfy “running to the grocery store for hot dogs look.” The Urban Expressions cross-body purse is perfect to throw over either of these two outfits.

Tart Striped Top – $16.97
Liverpool Shorts – $34.99 w/ free shipping!
Kensie Dress – $22.93
Seavees – $44.99
Urban Expressions Crossbody Purse – $17.98
TOTAL: $137.86

linework outfit.jpg
The second “fix” focuses around workwear and you can never wrong with a classic black and white office look. For this fix, pair either the white or black Daniel Rainn top with the Level 99 trousers and Nine West heels. If your office feels like the arctic due to the blasting a/c, throw on the Kensie blazer to keep warm.

Level 99 Trousers – $39.99
Daniel Rainn Black Top – $24.97
Daniel Rainn White Top – $19.97
Kensie Blazer – $53.99
Nine West Heels $23.70
TOTAL: $162.62

Stitch Fix Review June 2017This month’s Stitch Fix started off with a very sad note. I learned that my favorite stylist, Jojo is no longer with the company. *sniff sniff. I was given a new stylist who did a pretty good job filling some big shoes. I didn’t ask for anything specifically and feel like I get the best fixes when I leave it up to the stylists.

In case you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, here’s a quick rundown:

1. As soon as you sign up, you fill out a quick style profile with your preferred styles and measurements. It helps if you have a pinterest board linked so your stylist can see all of the pretty clothes you have pinned.

2. Schedule your first fix  here (This is my referral link…if you use this link, I will get a small credit.) You will be charged a $20.00 styling fee, however this fee gets used towards anything you purchase. For example, if you keep a $48.00 shirt, an additional $28.00 will be charged to your card.

3. Five days within your scheduled fix date, a pretty little box will arrive with 5 items (clothing, scarves, jewelery, handbags, and now SHOES!) You can pick which items you would like on your profile, so if for example, you don’t want shoes, you won’t get shoes.

4. After you’ve tried on all your goodies, you have 3 days to decide what to keep. Log on to your  stitchfix account and checkout. Return the items you didn’t keep in the pre-paid envelope. Then order your next fix and so on and so forth!

Stitch Fix Review Summer 2017

Skies are Blue Krystine Layered Tank Top – Size XS ($44)

IMG_6874
(Jeans, Shoes)

This tank top was probably my favorite piece in the bunch. It can be easily dressed up with a black blazer for work or some fun heels for a night out.

VERDIT: Kept

Skies are Blue Swanley Knit Tank – Size XS ($38)

IMG_6880 (1)
(Shorts)

Man, did I want this top to work!  I figured it was a perfect 4th of July look with my red shorts and white sandals. Unfortunately, it was just too big on me and didn’t look right.

VERDICT: Returned

Market & Spruce Sam Hi-Lo Short Sleeve Tee – Size XS ($38) &
STS Blue Neve Fray Hem Distressed Skinny Jean Size 2 ($48)

IMG_6879
(Sneakers)

This shirt is probably the softest shirt I have ever felt! However, I already own the same shirt in gray that I bought off the Stitch Fix board. So, sadly I said buh-bye to this softie.

The jeans were also a bit too distressed for my liking. I’m all for a good distressed pair of jeans but this pair looked like the jeans I wore when I was a kid after I’d fall and skin my knee.

VERDICT: Both Returned

Nine Britton Frankelyn Open Back Knit Top ($46)

IMG_6884I’m usually a sucker for a good dolman top and I loved how this one showcases my tinkerbell tattoo but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $46 on a long sleeved top in the summertime. I think I’m going to regret sending this one back.

VERDICT: Returned

The total price of this box was $214.00 or $160.50 if I kept all 5 pieces for the 25% off discount. I think my new stylist did a fantastic job at keeping this affordable without sacrificing quality.

What do you think? Did I keep the right pieces?

CREATE YOUR OWN (1).png

After the success of my last “create your own Stitch Fix”, I thought it would be fun to do another one for June. If you aren’t sure what Stitch Fix is or haven’t tried them yet, check out my latest review here. I challenged myself again to only include Stitch Fix brands but at lower prices. If you are familiar with Stitch Fix, you know that each fix contains 5 items and a note. I again created two different “fixes.” With the warmer weather approaching, I created these “fixes” with summer in mind. Allright, let’s get on to the clothes!

For this first “fix” , I wanted to create the perfect summer look. Layer the Kensie kimono over the Lush side split tank and pair it with the Kut from the Kloth shorts, Kensie necklace, and Nine West sandals! Best part about this fix, is that the entire outfit is less than $104!

 Kensie Necklace ($9.59)
Kensie Kimono ($14.97)
Lush Side Split Tank ($20.40)
Nine West Sandals ($23.98)
Kut from the Kloth Shorts ($34.97)
TOTAL: $103.91

This next “fix” focuses around a couple outfits you can make with this pair of Lucky Brand white capris. Pair the capris with the Lucky Brand crochet top and add the Nine West wedges to complete the look. For date night, swap out the crochet top for the Kensie Cold Shoulder top, add a pair of black heels (from your closet) and the Nine West studded bag to create the perfect sexy date night outfit.

Lucky Brand Crochet Top ($22.31)
Lucky Brand Capris ($47.99 w/ code SUMMER)
Nine West Wedges ($30.99)
Kensie Cold Shoulder Ruffled Sleeve Top ($20.23)
Nine West Studded Bag ($24.50)
TOTAL: $146.02

If you are interested in scheduling an actual fix, you can fill out a style profile here. Which “fix” do you like better?

Much like everything else in my life right now, I’m a bit behind on my latest Stitch Fix review. In fact, I’ve held on to my returns for about two weeks now and and have received several friendly reminders to return my items. Luckily the SF police haven’t come after me yet.

In case you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, here’s a quick rundown:

1. As soon as you sign up, you fill out a quick style profile with your preferred styles and measurements. It helps if you have a pinterest board linked so your stylist can see all of the pretty clothes you have pinned.

2. Schedule your first fix  here (This is my referral link…if you use this link, I will get a small credit.) First and foremost, I need to give a shout out to my stylist, JoJo, that girl deserves a raise! I didn’t have any specific requests , so I told her to surprise me and oh my stars, she did not disappoint. I love that she always sends me items that pair well together and will reference items from previous fixes that will pair well with the new items.

note.JPG

First up was the Fun2Fun Nicolet Lace Up Back Top. Size XS ($44)

Fun2Fun Nicolet Lace Up Back Top

Fun2Fun Nicolet Lace Up Back Top

I paired this top with dark jeans and my Nine West floral flats (on sale here) from a prior fix, like Jojo suggested. I thought this top was gorgeous but was just a little more flowy than I prefer.

Status: RETURNED

Next, I paired the Eden Society Finnigan Twist Back Top, size XS ($48) with the Vigoss Pixie Distressed Frayed Hem Denim Short, size 2 ($48,) and the Toms Seasonal Slip-On Flats, size 6 ($59) Please excuse my extremely bruised knee, I took a tumble the other day.

Stitch Fix May 2017

I loved this entire outfit! Can we just take a minute to admire these adorable shoes? I mean, they have lemons on them for gosh sakes! How could I say no to those?

Also, the shorts were  a good length and the top is even cuter in person. I wanted to keep the shorts but my budget wouldn’t let me. I also thought I could find vigoss shorts for cheaper.

Status: Top: Kept
Shorts: Returned
Shoes: Kept

Here’s another picture of the shoes because, I repeat, they have LEMONS on them! You can buy a pair here, if you find yourself as obsessed with these shoes as I am.

Toms Seasonal Slip-On Flats

Okay, I’ve saved the best for last! This is probably my favorite outfit I have ever received from Stitch Fix. This outfit included the top and shoes previously pictured plus the Kut from the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean, size 2P ($88)

Stitch Fix Review Spring 2017

As much as I loved this outfit, I already own a pair of white jeans and these ones were actually a little tight. They didn’t have an exchange so I figured I could create the same look with the jeans I already own.

So, there you have it. What do you think? Did I make the right decisions?

amazon fix.jpg
After the success of my last “Create Your Own Stitch Fix” post, which you can find
hereI had a request to create a fix using all Stitch Fix brands through Amazon. This was a little harder than I anticipated but as the great Barney Stinson says, “challenge accepted!”

I again created two fixes. The first one contains a business outfit and the second is more casual.
